n all kinds of mechanical connectors, the anti-loosening of the bolt is a very important link. There are many methods in life to prevent the bolt from loosening, including the use of spring washers to prevent loosening. Spring washers are often called spring washers in the screw industry. So why is it used frequently?

1. The role of spring washer:

The basic function of the spring washer is to give the nut a force after the nut is tightened, increasing the friction between the nut and the bolt! That is to add a protective measure to prevent the loosening of the fastening bolt caused by the vibration of the equipment in operation.

2. Anti-loosening principle of spring washer:

The anti-loosening principle of the spring washer is that after the spring washer is flattened, the spring washer will generate a continuous elastic force, so that the threaded connection of the nut and the bolt continuously maintains a frictional force, generating a resistance torque, thereby preventing the nut from loosening. At the same time, the sharp corners at the openings of the spring washers are respectively embedded in the bolt and the surface of the connected piece, thereby preventing the bolt from rotating relative to the connected piece.

However, practice has proved that the spring washer can only provide a spring force of 10 N / m, and the spring force of 10 N / m can be ignored for the bolt preload torque of 280 N / m. Secondly, such a small force is not enough to insert the sharp corner of the spring washer cut into the surface of the bolt and the connected piece. Observation after disassembly, there is no obvious indentation on the surface of the bolt and the connected parts. Therefore, the anti-loosening effect of the spring washer on the bolt can be ignored.
